Introduction

As a newly developed comprehensive sports facility in Fuyang City, Yingdong Sports Center was designed to support both professional sporting events and public fitness activities.

Since opening in June 2026, the venue has successfully hosted several major regional competitions, including youth basketball and football events, and continues to serve as a key sports hub for the local community.

To meet the diverse requirements of professional competitions, television broadcasting, training, and daily operation, SCL (Guangdong Seven Continents Industrial Co., Ltd.) delivered a customized LED sports lighting solution featuring multi-level lighting standards, intelligent control, and optimized visual performance.

Project Overview

Located in Fuyang City, Anhui Province, Yingdong Sports Center covers approximately 157 mu, with a total construction area of around 59,000 square meters.

The facility includes:

• A 5,000-seat multi-purpose sports arena;
• A 1,500-seat standard swimming venue;
• Professional training facilities.

Designed as a modern sports complex, the venue serves two important functions:

• Hosting professional sports competitions;
• Supporting daily public fitness activities.

This dual-purpose requirement created higher demands for the lighting system.

The venue needed a solution that could provide professional competition-level lighting while also offering comfortable and energy-efficient illumination for regular use.

SCL developed customized lighting designs for three key areas:

• Multi-purpose sports arena;

Basketball Arena: One Lighting System for Competition and Training

The basketball arena is one of the core venues of Yingdong Sports Center and is designed to host professional basketball competitions.

Basketball requires excellent visual conditions due to fast movement, frequent changes of direction, and continuous ball tracking.

A professional basketball lighting system must provide:

• Uniform illumination across the court;
• Accurate color rendering;
• Reduced glare;
• Stable lighting performance for broadcasting.

The arena lighting was designed according to Class IV national sports lighting standards, suitable for national-level competitions and TV broadcasting requirements.

The system provides sufficient vertical illuminance for broadcast cameras, ensuring that high-speed movements and key moments can be captured clearly.
