July 26, 2026 — The 2026 Chenzhou Lin Dan Cup Badminton Open successfully concluded at the Lin Dan Badminton Club, Chenzhou Sports Center. Olympic badminton champion and two-time Grand Slam winner Lin Dan attended the event and presented awards to the champions.

A High-Level Competition Where Champions Were Crowned

Held from July 24 to 26, the three-day tournament featured men’s singles, mixed team competitions, and youth categories. More than 1,300 athletes from 11 countries and regions, including China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, New Zealand, India and Russia, participated in the event.

The men’s singles competition attracted several top players, including previous Lin Dan Cup champions. The final match between defending champion Zhao Junpeng and Malaysian player Zhan Junwei delivered an intense battle.

After three competitive games, Zhan Junwei defeated Zhao Junpeng 2–1 to claim the men’s singles championship, marking his fourth victory at the Lin Dan Cup.

The mixed team final was equally thrilling, with Kawasaki Chocolate 88D Team securing the championship after a dramatic 2–1 victory. Young athletes in the youth categories also demonstrated outstanding potential and passion for badminton.
