The U18 men's basketball warm-up match is in full swing at the Xiangshui National Fitness Center!

On the evening of April 9th, the 2026 National Youth Men's Basketball Warm-up Tournament International Basketball Challenge (Xiangshui Division) kicked off at the Xiangshui County National Fitness Center. Four strong teams—the Chinese U18 Men's Basketball Team, the New Zealand U18 Men's Basketball Team, the Canadian Crown Basketball Team, and the Australian Alpha Basketball Academy Team—gathered here for a three-day high-level competition.

On the first day of competition, the Chinese U18 men's basketball team defeated Australia 100-56, demonstrating their strong dominance on both offense and defense. In another match, New Zealand and Canada battled to the very last moment, with the lead changing hands frequently and the game full of suspense, providing the audience with a spectacular basketball feast.

Xiangshui National Fitness Center: A City Sports Landmark Built with 540 Million Yuan

The Xiangshui National Fitness Center is located in the eastern new town of Xiangshui County, Yancheng City. With a total investment of approximately 540 million yuan, it covers an area of about 40 mu (approximately 2.67 hectares) and has a building area of 46,709 square meters. The center includes a basketball court capable of hosting Class B competitions, a swimming pool capable of hosting Class C competitions, a multi-functional fitness center, a table tennis hall, a badminton hall, and a hot spring bath, making it a comprehensive sports venue integrating professional competitions and public fitness. The entire LED sports lighting system was provided by SCL.

Basketball is a highly competitive and fast-paced sport, requiring players to quickly judge the ball's trajectory, teammates' positions, and the distance to the basket. Glare, dark areas, or flickering in the lighting system will directly impact player performance and referee calls.

SCL adopted a professionally customized lighting solution tailored to the specific characteristics of the Xiangshui Basketball Arena. The lighting fixtures are equipped with efficient anti-glare devices to effectively control glare while improving luminous efficiency and saving energy. 

The renovated basketball court meets the national Level 4 TV broadcasting lighting standard, ensuring a bright and uniform lighting environment with no dark areas or glare, creating a healthy and comfortable lighting environment for athletes, referees, and spectators. Furthermore, by fully considering the needs of television broadcasting and scientifically calculating the installation angles of the lighting fixtures, ideal conditions for television broadcasting have been created, ensuring that every dunk and every steal is clearly captured.

The entire building's lighting system was upgraded simultaneously

In addition to the basketball court, SCL also provided professional lighting solutions for other venues at the Xiangshui National Fitness Center.

Swimming pool: The 50-meter, 8-lane pool meets the lighting requirements for Level 3 professional competitions, while the 25-meter, 6-lane and 25-meter, 4-lane pools meet the lighting requirements for Level 2 amateur competitions and Level 1 fitness competitions, respectively. Addressing the unique challenges of high humidity and water surface glare, SCL utilizes custom-designed lighting fixtures with high color rendering, pure light color, and rapid heat dissipation. Precise control of the fixtures' projection angle effectively suppresses water surface glare.

Badminton Hall: The VIP badminton courts meet the lighting requirements for Level 2 amateur competitions, while other areas meet the requirements for Level 1 fitness lighting. High-efficiency imported SMD light sources are used with scientific light distribution to prevent glare and light spill, providing professional, uniform, and comfortable lighting support for every sports enthusiast.
